Yeah! The weather has been glorious in Caloundra this month and down here at Sandbar Café, we’re all hoping that it continues! It’s been a tough year for Caloundra restaurant’s (and all other local businesses) and it’s been a relief to see some extended sunny & warmer weather.
It also made it perfect timing for the launch of the August “Love Caloundra” promotion kindly sponsored by the Caloundra chamber of commerce, Hot91 FM & The Caloundra Journal. Each Friday throughout August the Journal is printing Caloundra Cash which can be used at participating outlets including Sandbar Cafe & Kiosk.

Many thanks to Dominique for her sensational cooking demonstration last night at Sandbar.
We had a packed house and a very interactive audience who enjoyed the class as well as all the fabulous food.
The feedback from all our guests was More! More! More! so keep an eye out for more special dinners, cooking demos and wine nights in the future.

$9003.10 is the total amount of money we raised for the Premiers QLD flood relief appeal.
A brilliant result and we have now donated this money to the appeal fund.
We would like to thank everyone who came in and spent money during the period and a very special thanks to those who kindly donated their own money, in addition to the 5% we collected from our takings.
