“Love Caloundra” Promotion
Yeah! The weather has been glorious in Caloundra this month and down here at Sandbar Café, we’re all hoping that it continues! It’s been a tough year for Caloundra restaurant’s (and all other local businesses) and it’s been a relief to see some extended sunny & warmer weather.
It also made it perfect timing for the launch of the August “Love Caloundra” promotion kindly sponsored by the Caloundra chamber of commerce, Hot91 FM & The Caloundra Journal. Each Friday throughout August the Journal is printing Caloundra Cash which can be used at participating outlets including Sandbar Cafe & Kiosk.2 Comments

We had a packed house and a very interactive audience who enjoyed the class as well as all the fabulous food.

Queensland flood relief 2
Thanks everyone for coming in over the past week, each one of you has helped our Queensland flood relief effort and I am very pleased to announce that we raised a total of $1977 in our first week! This will be donated to the Premier’s flood relief appeal today.
Thanks also for all your positive feedback and comments! We still have 3 weeks to go and we will update here as well our our Face book site each week on the amount we raised for the week as well give you a running total.15 Comments
Recipe of the month – Tilly’s Mini Pavlova!
This recipe came from Tilly, Tilly being one of our chefs mother’s, it is very simple to make & utterly delicous!
Pavlova Mix (makes 12 individual disks, 6 portions)
4 egg whites
3 cups Caster sugar
2 tea spoons white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons cornflour
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
8 tablesppons boiling water
